The Grouch - "Artsy"

on Tuesday, July 24, 2012
One of the Bay Area's greatest rappers, ladies and gentleman.  The Grouch.  One of my favorite artists of all time in any genre of music, The Grouch is creative, intelligent, and inspirational beyond any main stream icon.  He is one of four of the world renown as Living Legends crew.  Rapper, word smith, beat maker, businessman, he literally does it all.  He is known for his incredible down to earth rhymes about real issues that motivate and captivate those who have listened to him.  He has released ten independent projects successfully including his first album, Don't Talk To Me (1994), on the Living Legends label through Heroes in the City of Dope with Zion I.  The Living Legends crew actually moved from the Bay Area to Los Angeles, where Murs, Scarub, and Eligh previously resided before moving north. In 2000, the Grouch and Eligh issued G & E Music; that same year They Don't Have This arrived, which was widely regarded as the best work of the Grouch's career.
